Leader/Volunteer Roles for VBS. Please check more than one area of interest. Some roles only need a few people so if there is no longer a need in that area we will try to fit you in to your next preferred role.

If you are a current volunteer within our ministry (Countryside Kids) you do not need to complete the information below. If it has been more than 3 years since you have served in children's ministry at Countryside or you have never served in children's ministry at Countryside, please complete the information below.

  • Criminal Background Check:
    • all staff members and volunteers (18+) working or volunteering in childrens or student activities or programming undergo a criminal background check. Depending upon position, differing levels or intensity of background check may be required. Individuals who have committed sexually-oriented or sex-related crimes may not serve in any area providing services to children or minors. In addition, certain other past criminal acts may preclude an applicant from serving minors.

Expectations and Covenant

Expectations

We are so excited that you are choosing to use your gifts to serve in Children's Ministry and especially at VBS! In order to provide a safe and fun environment at VBS it is important that all volunteers arrive on time and stay with their kids until they are all dismissed during VBS week. Kids start arriving at 8:45, so you need to be at the church no later than 8:30 (We will have a team meeting at 8:30 every morning). Kids are dismissed at noon and you are free to go when all of your kids have been picked up. We understand that things come up so please communicate with the VBS Directors if you are going to be late or need to leave early.

Covenant

The information on this application is correct to the best of my knowledge. By signing this agreement, I am committing to partnering with Countryside Kids Ministries for evangelism and the spiritual development of children. I will not teach or instruct children in ways contrary to Countryside Covenant Church's beliefs/affirmations. I agree to support the purpose, mission, and vision of Countryside Covenant Church as a volunteer.

Your application will be submitted to Amy Brunk, Director of Children's Ministires. Once reviewed you will be contacted about scheduling an interview. We do complete background checks on all adults who work directly with children at Countryside. At the time of the interview you will need to provide your social security number to complete the background check.
